Tidecaller terms of service

These terms are between you and The Tidecaller team, which runs Tidecaller. By playing, you agree to them. Contact: the support address on our store pages.

Your account

• Keep your sign-ins to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
• One character per account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree for you.

Playing fair

• No cheating: no bots, macros that play for you, modified clients, exploits you keep using or hide, or selling game items or accounts for money.
• No harassment, hate, threats, sexual content involving minors, or sharing someone's personal information. Names, crew names, chat and things you design must follow the same rules.
• We may warn, mute, suspend or ban an account that breaks these rules, and remove what broke them. You can appeal through the contact above.

The game and what is in it

• We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to play. The game, its world and its items remain ours.
• Shells, items, pets and other things in the game are part of the game. They are not money or property and cannot be exchanged for money.
• The game changes: we balance, add and sometimes remove things.
• During the beta, progress may be reset; we will say so before we do.

What you make

You keep what you create (names, designs, messages), and give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, show and share it in and around the game. You confirm you have the right to grant it.

In the Creator Workshop you may offer a design you made, free or for Pearls. When someone gets a paid one, 70% of its Pearls go to you as Pearls; Pearls are part of the game and cannot be exchanged for money. A listing shows only while its design follows these terms, and we may take one down.

Purchases

Purchases are made through Steam, the App Store or Google Play, and their terms and refund rules apply. Bought items are cosmetic.

Ending

You can stop at any time and delete your account in the game. We may end these terms for an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks them. If we ever close the game, we will tell you at least 60 days ahead.

Liability

The game is provided as it is, especially during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for lost game items or progress. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Changes

We will post changes here and in the game before they take effect; playing after that means you accept them. This version: 2026-10-09.
